Anthony is still has positive Blood cultures so far in his white lumen and they are treating it like its VRE in his blood which we knew he had VRE in the gut.We are hoping they are treating him with the right medicines but we won't know until we know what organisms are growing in his blood.
His GVHD is acting up a little from the infection so we are keeping a close eye on it.I have noticed some more itching since last night..he loves to bang his head on the crib when he is itching too bad.
Overall he is doing good.
Please pray they can figure out which bug is growing and get him on the right antibiotic.
Pray for a negative culture soon
Pray we can go home on the antibiotic

About Anthony
Anthony is our 2 year old wonder! In June of 2008, Rhonda found out about a 4 month old baby who had HLH, which is a rare immunity Disease the only way that doctors know how to cure HLH is to get a bone marrow Transplant . When he flew over from his birth town the doctors had no idea what was going on with this little baby, we are told that there were many times this bright eyed wonder would not make it, but with God's protection he made it. when we met Anthony, we fell in love with and soon he was our foster Son/Brother. After many months we learned that his birth mom was going to allow us to adopt him, we are forever thankful for her, and are in contact with Anthony's birth family. Finally we crammed paperwork that usually takes 6 months to process into 6 weeks, he was adopted May 14, 2009. Anthony is currently in the hospital and is having his Bone Marrow Transplant on July 23,2009.
